IurisIQ is committed to ensuring that our website and legal practice management platform are accessible to all users, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to conform to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

WCAG 2.1 AA — Partially Conformant (Ongoing Remediation)

We are actively working to identify and resolve accessibility barriers. This statement describes our current conformance status, known limitations, and how to contact us if you experience an issue.

Scope

This statement applies to:

  • iurisiq.com — Our public marketing website
  • IurisIQ Platform — The case management application accessed by subscribers

Third-party websites linked from our site are not covered by this statement.

Technical Specifications

Our website and platform rely on the following technologies for conformance:

  • HTML5
  • CSS (including Tailwind CSS)
  • JavaScript (ES2020+)
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 attributes for interactive components

Browser and Assistive Technology Compatibility

We test against the following combinations:

  • Google Chrome (latest) with NVDA on Windows
  • Safari (latest) with VoiceOver on macOS
  • Firefox (latest) with JAWS on Windows
  • Chrome on Android with TalkBack
  • Safari on iOS with VoiceOver

Measures Taken

IurisIQ takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Skip navigation links: Every page begins with a "Skip to main content" link, visible on keyboard focus, to allow users to bypass repetitive navigation
  • Semantic HTML: Headings, landmarks (nav, main, footer), and lists are used to communicate page structure to assistive technologies
  • Keyboard accessibility: All interactive elements — navigation links, buttons, form fields, and interactive components — are operable via keyboard alone
  • Focus indicators: Keyboard focus is visible on all interactive elements via high-contrast focus rings
  • Descriptive image alt text: All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked with alt=""
  • Decorative icon suppression: Icon font characters used decoratively carry aria-hidden="true" so they are not read by screen readers
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds
  • Form accessibility: All form fields have associated labels with matching for/id attributes; required fields are indicated
  • Resizable text: Content is readable when text is scaled up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • No reliance on color alone: Information is not conveyed solely through color
  • ARIA landmarks and roles: role, aria-label, and aria-expanded attributes are used where semantic HTML alone is insufficient
  • No auto-playing media: No audio or video plays automatically
  • Page titles: Each page has a unique, descriptive title
  • Language declaration: The lang attribute on the <html> element declares the page language as English

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some areas are not yet fully conformant. Known limitations include:

  • Interactive flip cards (Marketing website): Module flip cards on the home page are keyboard-operable with Space/Enter but may have announcements that could be improved for screen reader context — under remediation
  • Mobile navigation menu: The hamburger menu on small viewports requires further ARIA enhancement — under remediation
  • Platform complex UI components: Some advanced components in the IurisIQ application (data grids, rich text editor, drag-and-drop file upload) are partially conformant; we are working with component vendors to improve compliance
  • PDF documents: Some exported documents may not be fully tagged for screen reader use; we are implementing PDF/UA standards in our export pipeline

Conformance Status

IurisIQ's website and platform are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some content does not fully conform to the standard due to the exceptions noted above, and that we are actively working to resolve those gaps.

We conduct accessibility reviews using a combination of:

  • Automated scanning with Axe accessibility engine
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing
  • Screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver
  • Color contrast analysis with APCA and WCAG contrast tools
